You are a woman, a woman of color, if you want to fight you need armor. -from the book revolutionary love by Valerie Kaur I didn’t want to fight. I am not a fighter or that’s what I told myself, but I was wrong. I had not realized that I had been fighting this whole time to get to where and who I am. It was just a small flame always burning inside that I would control quite diligently without even realizing it. Never let that fire rage, never let it get out of control. Never let it burn down any bridge no matter what. We do what we need to do for many reasons. I didn’t want to be alone. I am learning that today. Learning that a lot of my relationships/friendships could have ended had I not been afraid to just be alone and figure out that that didn’t mean lonely. We are amidst a real deconstruction of how we having been living this life. Somethings have ended to make way for others and the things beginning for a lot of people have to do with breaking the chains in our minds of all the conditioning we have been and continue to be exposed to. But many are awakening to a new way we need to show up as Americans, as human beings on this planet collectively. Love is not just a four letter word, it is action, it is truth, it is risk, it is what there is just so little of. Here is a couple of asana to get you moving in the nap time hour. #sharethemic #keepsharingthemic @lovedealin_yogini

At the Social Unity Project aka SUP, we are a grass roots educational non-profit, dedicated to anti-racism and community well-being. We are in a very unique time where eyes and ears and hearts and minds are changing and opening and we wanted to do something, I needed to do something. I marched and I got inspired to create a space where people could support each other is the various social justice issues that are plaguing us all right now and a lot that have effected some of us all of our lives. There is a lot of unknowns and uncertainty, but there is a lot of knowledge out there that people need. We need to have difficult conversations, we need to heal from the hard stories we have buried deep in order to just be happy and be safe. I needed to create a different community because as everyone’s true colors began to show, I realized that not everyone’s are beautiful like a rainbow and that’s just one of those hard truths. Our bodies are a social justice issue, especially woman, and especially womxn of color, however in these times the black man is in need of protection. So we are working to convert racists, to open minds, to unify us as a people. America has not yet become a melting pot, we are just in the pot, separate, at this boiling point and our need to come together is great and will happen one step, one conversation, one act against racism at a time. Join the mission @social.unity.project DM us if you would like to be invited to one of our Zoom sessions. You can also find us on FB @casocialunityproject We SHOW UP, SPEAK UP, & ACT UP that’s what SUP! 🖤✊🏽 #powertothepeople #socialunityproject #socialunity #community #intersectionality #antiracist #socialjustice #equity #antiracisteducation #blm #blacklivesmatter #sharethemic #keepsharingthemic
