Many would like to practice yoga inversion postures but are unsure of how to do them in a safe way. Here, we will set the tone for you to hit the unwind button with some opening yoga flows that gently advance to active restorative inversions and supported postures including down dog, rabbit, shoulder stand and plow pose to name a few. Free up your body to truly relax, breath deeply, and reset. Enjoy the benefits of better sleep, stress management, calmness and focus after taking your time by using props to support your inverted postures and to balance your nervous system.
A percentage of this workshop goes to support the grassroots work of the Yoga and Body Image Coalition.
This practice is for all bodies but some postures will have different variations for those who are pregnant, have glaucoma/detached retna, cardiovascular disease, hypertension or have injuries to the cervical or thoracic spine.
