#repost @jenniferwintheryoga ・・・ My own Yin Yoga journey probably started with ego because I am naturally flexible. But it has evolved from ego and fun through chemotherapy, injury, and avoidance, to defiance, strengthening, and eventually self-healing. . . Yin yoga is DEEP work. Yin yoga is essential for runners and other athletes, for yogis and desk workers. Yin yoga is for anyone who wants their joints as healthy as their muscles and for anyone who has stress, trauma, or hormones. . . Did I leave anyone out?? 😅 . . I am so excited to finally offer a Yin Yoga Teacher Training this year. It's many years in the making and brings together the best of the best of different styles of yin with experience and insights from my own healing journey. . . Your healing journey is your own and may or may not include teaching, but it will always include first-hand learning! . . Come to a FREE info session this coming weekend to find out for yourself whether learning about how your body works can help you feel better, move more easily, and heal from the inside out. . . Yin Yoga YTT FREE info session sign-up: www.yogabliss-studio.com Sunday, Feb 9th at 11:15am @yogablissla El Segundo studio (Yin YTT sessions start in MAY 2020) . . #yogaheals #yoga #yinyoga #yogateachertraining #ytt #yinyang #yinytt #yogateacher #breastcancersurvivor #ybic #whatayogilookslike @ybicoalition

The YBIC & NEDA are joining forces once again! Announcing NEDAwareness Week 2020! From February 24th to March 1st, we encourage our community to embrace this year’s theme, Come as You Are: Hindsight is 20/20, by reflecting on the positive steps they’ve taken — including those stemming from setbacks or challenges — toward accepting themselves and others. ⠀ ⠀ Through #NEDAwareness Week 2020, NEDA aims to improve public understanding of eating disorders and their causes, dangers, and treatments and to empower everyone to reduce risk factors and join prevention efforts.⠀ ⠀ Check the link in our bio for what you can do today, and stay tuned for more information to come! ⠀ ⠀ #ComeAsYouAre

It’s important to use your privilege ( we all have privilege) to lift the voices of those of us who are left behind. Whose voices are not heard as clearly or understood. I had the pleasure of meeting @elliejadephotography_ when I did my yoga accessibility and diversity piece in London. Thank you for using your talents to change the world
The photographer regularly attends yoga and fitness classes, wellness talks and workshops and photographs industry professionals – and she has been shocked by the stark lack of diversity in this field. Ellie says that she rarely feels unwelcome in these fitness and wellness spaces, but she realises that this is not the case for the many people who don’t fit neatly into the expected mould. As a white woman, Ellie wants to use her privileged position to elevate underheard voices and improve representation. She wants to make the wellness and fitness industry more inclusive for everyone – and she’s doing this with a stunning new photography series.
